In preparation for the Working Group I contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report Climate Change 2013: The Physical Science Basis the WGI Co-Chairs and TSU have developed a series of Guidance Notes to Authors on the topics of Confidentiality, Conflict of Interest, and Communications with the Media and Public. The Guidance Notes provide individuals who hold offices (Co-Chairs, Vice Chairs) and functions (Coordinating Lead Authors, Lead Authors, Review Editors) in WGI or are employed at the WGI Technical Support Unit during the AR5 assessment cycle, with a set of recommendations to facilitate their work for IPCC, to ensure transparency and to avoid situations which could endanger the integrity of the work. Additional Guidance Material created in support of the WGI AR5 is provided below.
